इससे पहले आज (23 मई 2022) Xiaomi ने घोषणा की थी कि वह अपनी Next Generation के Flagship Smartphones के लिए Leica के साथ साझेदारी करेगी। 

Now, the company's CEO talks more about the new collaboration Lei Jun, CEO and founder of the Chinese tech giant, shared some details about the new partnership with Leica. A few years ago, smartphone photography in low light was just a "haze of darkness," he said. But now the night performance has improved a lot. He added that with the new collaboration, new milestones would be achieved. Lei Jun believes that current smartphones do not capture the true essence of the night and only illuminate the low-light scene. But the collaboration will help create a "night feel" for low-light scenes, not just bright shots similar to the daytime.

The senior executive said that the partnership with Leica was chosen because of their century-long years of experience. Leica specializes in a wide variety of aspects from optics, and imaging, to image processing, and it even has experience in the smartphone industry. Notably, Lei Jun also revealed that the first co-engineered product to leverage the Xiaomi x Leica co-development efforts will launch sometime in July 2022.

In other words, the next-gen flagship smartphone with better camera performance will be announced soon. Finer details about this device are unknown at the moment, however, we can expect to hear more about it in the coming weeks. The brand is working closely with Leica to provide a better camera experience on the upcoming handset.
